Marriage Information (Edit Menu)

It is the primary data form for marriages in the database. All events related to a couple such as engagement, marriage, or divorce are viewed, added, and edited from the Marriage Information Editor. Because all information relevant to a marriage is recorded on this view, it is not shown on the INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION VIEWER page but may be viewed on the FAMILY GROUP SHEET.

Adding Marriage Events

In the Marriage Event section click Add.. to open up the Event Information editor.

Possible Marriage Events found in the drop down menu: Annulment, Census, Divorce, Divorce Filed, Engagement, Marriage Contract, Marriage License, Marriage Settlement,  Marriage, Marriage Banners, Other.

If you choose Other, a text field is provided to enter a name for the Other Event.  MagiKey Family Tree remembers this name and it is available next time to click on the drop down menu box.

Adding LDS Ordinances

If the individual is deceased, then the Log In to FamilySearch will automatically open when you try to add an LDS Ordinance.

If the individual is living, then it will open the LDS Ordinance Editor.

Adding Sources

Their are two options for sourcing. You can source all events in the main source field by clicking Add.. to open the Source Editor  or by adding a new Source for each specific event-Open the Event Editor and then Click Add Source.
