Types of events in the Event Form

What is the Event Form Editor?

The Event Editor is the screen that allows you to enter or edit event or attributes. It is accessed from either the Individual Editor, or the Marriage Editor.

What is the difference between events and attributes?

Events are details that happen to an individual, i.e. being born, getting baptized, etc.  An Event will always have a specific time and place associated with it, when and where it happened.
Attributes help describe who or what the individual was; a carpenter, a Brazilian, a Catholic, etc.  Some Attributes may be associated with a place and time(being a carpenter for 15 years), others do not.  MagiKey Family Tree requires the input of either a place or time for Events, but not for Attributes.
